Maria Hetman

Wiss. Mitarbeiterin (sie/ihr)

Maria Hetman ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Universität Hohenheim, wo sie zu internationalen Projekten in mehreren Forschungsgruppen beiträgt. Ihre Arbeit verbindet Agroforstwirtschaft, Agrarökologie, Wissenstransfer in kurzen Lebensmittelversorgungsketten, Nachhaltigkeit und sozial-ökologische Ansätze. Sie forscht besonders gerne zu Themen, die die Ko-Produktion von Wissen umfassen, das in realen Herausforderungen verwurzelt ist – in Zusammenarbeit mit lokalen und globalen Partnern.

Sie hat einen M.Sc. in Ökologischer Landwirtschaft und Ernährungssystemen (Universität Hohenheim, DAAD-Stipendiatin), ein Graduate Certificate in Agroforstwirtschaft (University of Missouri-Columbia) sowie einen M.A. in Soziologie und Sozialanthropologie (Central European University), ergänzt durch praktische Erfahrung in der Landwirtschaft und landwirtschaftlichen Beratung.

Bevor sie sich auf Agrar- und Ernährungssysteme konzentrierte, baute sie einen umfangreichen Hintergrund in Programmmanagement, Programmgestaltung und Kommunikation durch sektorübergreifende Arbeit mit internationalen Zivilgesellschafts- und investigativen Journalismusorganisationen auf, die sich dem öffentlichen Interesse und sozialer Gerechtigkeit widmen. Da sie in fünf Ländern gelebt und gearbeitet, sowie Programme auf vier Kontinenten geleitet hat, bringt sie eine globale Perspektive in Forschung und Praxis ein.
