Patcharin Sae-heng

Patcharin Sae-heng is currently a PhD Candidate at the Department of Communication and Advisory Services in Rural Areas, the University of Hohenheim. The topic of her PhD dissertation is co-production of Buddhist Agroecological Knowledge in Thailand. She aims to explain the co-production process with the religion-based perspective of agroecology. Her research interest is given to diverse topics, namely agroecology, Buddhist agriculture, co-production of agricultural knowledge, and traditional ecological knowledge. For her Bachelor's degree, she studied Social Science in the International Studies concentration and learnt German language as her minor at the International College, Mahidol University in Thailand. In 2020, She graduated her Master’s degree in environmental management and technology from the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University. Her master’s research topic was on “Knowledge Translation Process of the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) Standard in Thailand”. From 2017 - 2022, she worked for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) in Thailand in a project called "Thai-German Climate Programme (TGCP) – Agriculture", which focused on the development of monitoring system for the greenhouse gas emission from rice farming in Thailand.
