The final conference of the i2connect project took place from October 1st to 3rd, 2024 in Varna, Bulgaria. In September, the trans4num EU consortium visited the partner project in China to exchange ideas with local experts on sustainable agriculture. The trip included visits to Beijing and Inner Mongolia, focusing on topics such as nutrient management, soil health, and innovative agricultural models.more
In July 2024, a group of scientists from the Department of Agricultural Sciences (430a) at the University of Hohenheim participated in the International Farming Systems Association (IFSA) Conference „Systemic change for sustainable futures“ in Trapani, Italy.more
The COINS project meeting, held in Bonn from June 26 to 28, 2024, was conducted in a hybrid format with approximately 20 participants attending in person and an additional 15-20 participants joining online from Senegal, Ghana, and Kenya. The purpose of the meeting was to provide project updates, deliver presentations, and discuss the project’s objectives.more
As part of the i2connect project, two field peer reviews were recently held in which the University of Hohenheim was actively involved. The aim of these reviews is to strengthen the exchange and cooperation between advisors, farmers and scientists in order to promote innovative approaches in agriculture.more
