Participation in the IFSA Conference 2024 in Trapani  [08.08.24]

In July 2024, a group of scientists from the Department of Agricultural Sciences (430a) at the University of Hohenheim participated in the International Farming Systems Association (IFSA) Conference „Systemic change for sustainable futures“ in Trapani, Italy.

The team, consisting of Andrea Knierim, Sangeun Bae, Qirui Li, Michael Paulus, Tim Hycenth Ndah, and Friederike Selensky, presented their latest research findings and actively engaged in various discussions on topics related to agriculture and sustainable development.

A special session on "Nature-based Solutions for Transformative Change in Agricultural Nutrient Management," conducted within the framework of the trans4num project, also took place. This session featured presentations by Qirui Li (University of Hohenheim), Andras Vér (Széchenyi István University), Friederike Selensky (University of Hohenheim), and Tommy Dalgaard (Aarhus University). The session attracted significant interest and provided a platform for intensive exchange.

The participation in the conference offered the 430a team a valuable opportunity to present their research on an international stage, establish new connections, and gain inspiration for future research endeavors.
